Yippie !!!!!!!!! Next weekend is Racewalking School in Carmel California! Along with 35 other people from all over the country , I will eat, sleep and breath every aspect of this “not-as-easy-as-it-looks”, Olympic walking sport. Latest Pulmonary Function Test results
Last weeks PFT results….hot off the press. The numbers indicate that my overall lung function has declined another 10% since last checked back in September of 2005 . I’m now base-lining at around 35- 40% of normal. And while the results indicate pretty severe fixed airway disease (non-reversible asthma) , you sure wouldn’t know it by [...]
14 mile walk to see the Neurologist
There was a scheduling conflict with my 14 mile LSD, and a follow-up visit I have at the stroke center at UCSF medical center this Wednesday. Flat Faced Furry Friend is Family

I have such huge swings in my endurance levels , that my disease often tricks me into thinking that maybe my lung function is actually improving, and then …WHAM ! it clobbers me [...]
More racewalking footage
Real racewalking footage is hard to come by , so when I find it , I snatch it up. This one is the first in a series of racewalking videos by one of my favorite video editors ….. James. Narrated by Chris Rael, it’s kind of a ” What’s happening in the world of racewalking” [...]
New PR for Hospital bill
Remember that little incident two weeks ago? Here’s the bill . It’s so ridiculous I just had to post it. 27 Grand for a one day hospital stay! I think that’s a record for me. (My co-pay is only $250.00 , but that’s still a marathon fee and a hotel room.)
