Battle Scars……Electrode Gum

Posted on Posted in Asthma, Asthma hospitalization, Exacerbation Recovery, Funny asthma stuff

Can anyone out there relate to this?

You’ve been home from the hospital for a few days now, and you still can’t get all that electrode gum off your chest? It’s like a black rubber glue that won’t wash off. You have to literally peel or rub it off your skin! Ive been home for almost a week now, and I still haven’t removed it all. Hopefully, I’ll get it off before I have to go in again.

Now, take a look at your arms..lots of IV holes, patches of shaved skin and still lots of tape gum.. Fun isn’t it?

I can totaly relate to having so many Iv holes on your hand, does it every go away? I have difficult veins so there are holes on almost every part of my arm.
as for electrode gum,and tape mark try rubbing baby oil on it. I tried it with the tape mark and it came write off.
Oh I forgot to mention, I have asthma too !

As for the tape and electrode gum, have you tried to rub baby oil on it. Ive tried it for the tape and it came right off, and the electrode gum, with soap it usually comes off in my case.
