Recovering from a serious illness?………………………….Hop a plane to Vegas, see a Manilow Show!
Needs some cheering up?………………………………………Hop a plane to Vegas, see a Manilow Show!
Feeling down in general?……………………………………….Hop a plane to Vegas, see a Manilow Show!

At least that’s what I do, and that’s what I’ll be doing this weekend. Good Music always works for me.

Frequently flier miles and portable neb machines sure make trips like this a lot more do-able.
By some strange coincidence, the Las Vegas Marathon is this weekend…..hmmmmm don’t I wish.

I finally figured out that by buying the cheaper seats , I can go 4 times as often. See, there’s a method to my madness. Oh..did I mention that this is will make 48th and 49th Manilow concert. Ive seen the Vegas show 22 times now.

And if a couple Manilow shows don’t do the trick, maybe a Bela Fleck show will. Love their music. I see them on the 16th… and no plane ride required!

    have fun, and fly safe.

    1. If only I can avoid the smokey hotel lobbies and casinos., I'll be in good shape.

I hate that….Living where I do, where smoking in public places is banned nearly entirely (no smoking at all in restaurants or bars…etc) it always shocks me when I go places that have a "smoking section" or just allow smoking in general…because it's not like there's an invisible wall that blocks the smoke from entering the non-smoking section.

I'll tell you, I'm a little jealous. I haven't been to ANY show in far too long.

That made me laugh so much. Steve, you need to take "I'm-a-'poor'-student-and-want-to-travel-as-cheap-as-possible" lessons from me ;-). [Although, your trips will be far, far more luxurious I'm sure. ;-)]

Enjoy that First Class, you! Cheer up of the day RIGHT THERE! ;-).

    1. I wrote the book on cheap, but you know what? By going cheap you can go more often:) You're going to get there just as fast whether you sit in the front of the plane or the back. ( though I admit, there's nothing quite as comfortable as the first class cabin).

The most expensive item of this trip is computer access. The hotel where I'm staying charges $13.00 a day for Wifi. What a rip.

    2. Yeah, earlier this year I paid $300 for a front row ticket. Then in Sept I paid $85 for a balcony seat.
Because I was alone, when I got to the theater that night, the usher upgraded my seat me to the main floor ( sometimes they'll do this because they wanna fill every seat up front). The new seat was much better , but the women sitting next to me was reeking of perfume. I asked the usher if I could have my original seat back. She felt sorry for me and moved me to the 2nd row isle seat ( one of the best seats in the house).

I haaate when they charge for WiFi [you probably already knew that, eh? lol]. Free WiFi is one of my hotel requirements [funny how the cheap hotels have it free and the classier ones you have to pay lol.] Also, the back of the plane just sucks cause it's too loud.

Hey, hopefully you'll get upgraded to front-ish row again without the icky perfume-y people around you. That drives me craaazy…

    Have a great getaway!

Have fun, man! You deserve it. I loooove Bela Fleck too. My brother got to see them this week and I was so jealous.

    And yes, cheap travel FTW!

    1. Thx Danielle. I can\’t wait to see them . Ive been stalking them for years, but this will be the first time Ive seen em live.

The real question is, are you gonna stop at 50 Manilow shows or keep going? 50's such a nice round number. 😉

    1. You read my mind. I actually bought the ticket for the 50th show while I was waiting inline for the 49th to begin. So damn addicting. The Christmas show was awesome.

Would you believe I'm 40 and have never been to a concert.
