The answer is ….YES !

Received the official word today, looks like I’ll get a chance to walk the mother of all marathons. My application for a slot in the “mobility impaired” division of the Boston Marathon was approved. More details as I get them….

Hey Steve. That’s great news!! Congratulations!! I’m staying at the Westin Copley which is right at the finish line. I booked it through Marathon Tours which is significantly cheaper than booking directly with the hotel. Unfortunatley, it looks like everything is booked at the moment through marathon tours, but you might get lucky if you try through them since they are right in the midst of the deadlines for cancellations so people might be cancelling right as we speak (write?).

Sure thing Steve. Either Sunday afternoon or after the race is fine for me or both. I was going to suggest the pasta dinner which is Sunday afternoon/evening I think, but that’s included with the entry fee. After the race is good too since I”m staying right at the finish line and you could drop by right after you finish.

Symptoms: Back in the yellow. Yesterday's walk probably had something to do with this.

Fitness:No walking today.

Other News: First long walk of the training season didn't go very well. Got over heated, had constant GI problems and leg muscles were really fatigued. Just basically, not prepared for an 11 mile walk.
