After 3 and a half long months of complaining to everyone on the planet, the race promoter of the US HALF Marathon in San Francisco, finally made good on his promise to send me ( us) our medals. We earned the symbol of accomplishment just like everyone else who received theirs at the finish line. It wasn’t out faults that they under estimated the number of finishers.
I realize that this whole medal thing may seem trivial to some but, this medal represents 3 hours of personal torture that I endured just so I could say……I DID IT ! But, I don’t think I will do it again. Dont get me wrong, its an incredibly scenic route, but there’s just too much climbing involved . I will stick to the flatter courses …..or as flat as you can get in San Francisco.
